The newly appointed Housing LIN SHAPE (Suitable Housing for our Ageing Population) Exchange Board met today for the first Advisory Board session of a major new five-year programme, funded by Vivensa Foundation.

Members of the Board bring extensive personal and professional expertise in planning and co-creating inclusive, age-friendly housing communities. Chaired by Rose Gilroy, Professor of Ageing, Place and Policy in the School of Architecture at Newcastle University and Vivensa Foundation Trustee, the Board is expected to play a key leadership role in guiding the development of a new generation of HAPPI- and TAPPI-inspired homes and neighbourhoods.

The programme team expressed their delight in welcoming the Board and their anticipation of the valuable insights and sector leadership the group will contribute over the coming years. We look forward to further programme announcements in early 2026.

In the meantime, catch up on our recent HAPPI Hour webinar, introducing the SHAPE Exchange and its focus on care-ready housing, intergenerational living, and technology and adaptations — key themes shaping inclusive, age-friendly homes and communities for the future.
