NHS England publishes guidance on Healthy New Towns

NHS England has published a new report, Putting Health into Place, which provides guidance on the planning, design and evaluation of Healthy New Towns.

Putting Health into Place is made up of three reports and an executive summary and features guidance on:

  • Planning, assessment and involvement
  • Designing, delivering and managing
  • Developing and delivering healthcare services

The Housing LIN is a member of the consortia which helped to develop the Healthy New Towns programme. The programme contains useful references on the criteria for designing housing that supports health and wellbeing,
