Join our HAPPI Hour webinar following Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2026
Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), hosted by the GAAD Foundation, takes place on 21 May 2026 and highlights the importance of digital access, inclusive design and accessibility for everyone.
The campaign is especially relevant as the UK responds to the housing, health and care needs of an ageing population. Accessible homes and neighbourhoods can help older people remain independent for longer, reduce pressure on health and care services, and support healthier, more connected lives.
At Housing LIN, inclusive and age-friendly design is central to our work. Through research, case studies, policy insight and sector collaboration, we champion housing that is accessible, adaptable and designed for later living.
