Housing Options Scotland launches practical guide in support of Coming Home Action Plan

Housing Options Scotland has declared its support for the Scottish Government’s Coming Home agenda, a national commitment to ensuring that people who have learning disabilities and complex support needs can live in their home communities, with the right support and housing.

They have produced the Coming Home Guide, developed specifically for Local Authorities and Coming Home Leads, to accompany the launch of the Coming Home Action Plan (opens new window), which outlines the actions needed to respond to and resolve cases where people with complex care needs are placed in out-of-area institutional settings, often far from family, community ties, and the opportunity for a fulfilling life.
