Have your say in a DHSC / FarrPoint Telecare Survey
The Department of Health and Social Care is working with FarrPoint to build their evidence base in light of the risks to telecare users from the digital phone switchover. This work aims to better understand how telecare is delivered across England and measure how risks to telecare users are changing as we approach the January 2027 deadline for the switchover, including councils, telecare providers and housing providers.
The survey should allow councils (upper tier, unitary, district etc), housing associations and other telecare providers to quickly report on their involvement with telecare and progress preparing for the digital phone switchover. This survey builds on a Local Government Association survey circulated earlier this year and should take no more than 12 minutes to complete.
We would be grateful if you could complete the survey even if you do not offer telecare services – if you do not provide telecare, you will only be asked a small number of questions to confirm your organisation details etc. This means we know which organisations to exclude from future communications about your council’s telecare offer. Alarm receiving centres/call handling centres will be asked to complete a follow-up survey as part of this research. If you are reading this, and are not yourself responsible for telecare, but a colleague in your organisation is, we would be grateful if you could pass this correspondence on.
Please complete the survey by 19 November 2025.
