Have Your Say – Help Improve Trusted Assessor Services
TACT is inviting housing professionals to support a new national survey designed to capture the real experiences of people who have received Trusted Assessor assessments for independent living equipment and home adaptations.
This independent survey, run by the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers (RIDC), is the first of its kind and will help shape how these vital services are delivered across the UK.
They are asking organisations to encourage tenants and service users who have recently had a Trusted Assessor assessment to take part. Their feedback will help measure satisfaction, highlight what is working well, and identify where improvements are needed. The survey explores how assessments are carried out, what equipment and adaptations have been prescribed, and the impact these have on people's independence at home and what matters to them.
The survey is open from 27th January to 15th April 2026 and is completely anonymous. No individual or organisation will be identifiable, and all responses are managed independently by RIDC in line with ICO and Market Research Society standards.
Housing teams and their Trusted Assessors can play a key role by sharing the survey link with residents and service users and helping ensure as many voices as possible are heard. TACT can provide flyers, social media content and other promotional materials to support this.
