Future Leaders programme helps redefine leadership for National Care Forum’s Honor Westlake
In this new Housing LIN guest blog, Honor Westlake, Policy, Research and Projects Officer at the National Care Forum, reflects on her experience of the Future Leaders Programme and how it reshaped her understanding of leadership.
Drawing on an unconventional journey into the social care and housing sector, she explains how hearing from leaders with diverse backgrounds reinforced the value of broad experience.
Over eight months, the programme helped her develop new skills, build confidence and challenge assumptions about leadership as isolated or exclusive. Instead, she discovered leadership as collaborative, accessible and rooted in growth, strengths and impact for the future.
