Care & Repair England Closing

We are saddened to report that the housing charity and campaign organisation on older people’s housing, Care and Repair England, have announced that after 36 years they are closing at the end of the month.

We received notification that: 

“In a challenging operating environment, raising funds for Care & Repair England’s efforts to work with older people, to identify their housing difficulties and pioneer solutions, to highlight the housing experiences and wishes of those who are marginalised, has become ever more difficult, and it is with great regret that the decision to close has been taken."

“This is such sad news. You’ve been part of my professional upbringing since the start. I am proud to have served as a past Trustee and collaborate over the years on policy and practice developments for better housing quality, decent homes and information and advice services for older people.”
