Our Bristol office hosts and friends at Brunelcare are looking for an inspiring leader to become their next Chief Executive.

The successful applicant will take over from Interim CEO Sonia Furzland, who is due to leave next spring.

For 85 years, Brunelcare has helped older people to live well, providing homes, care and support to generations across Bristol and the surrounding area. That heritage reflects a charity that has adapted to changing needs while remaining rooted in its purpose and local communities.

Founded in Bristol in 1941, Brunelcare now supports more than 2,000 people across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Somerset, with around 1,100 colleagues delivering sheltered and extra care housing, retirement living, care homes, reablement and care in people’s own homes.

The charity is looking for:

  • A strategic and emotionally intelligent leader with experience in housing, care or health.
  • A passionate individual to lead Brunelcare's talented Executive Team and deliver their ambitious 2030 Strategy.
  • Someone who can build strong relationships with commissioners, regulators and sector partners to enhance their impact.
  • A natural communicator who can build trust and motivate others.
  • A values-driven leader committed to diversity and social purpose.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 29 November 2026.
