Overview
This week marks the 15th anniversary of the 1st Housing LIN annual conference, independent of government. The design of our homes and built environment, as part of the HAPPI design principles have been and are core to our work. We are therefore pleased to celebrate this event with WWA studio, one of our partners who know us well from the Department of Health Extra Care Housing Fund days.
And with International Day of People with Disabilities this week too, this HAPPI Hour webinar takes a look at inclusive design from a number of perspective. WWA studies and their planning team will outline why it is vital to get accessible housing into local plans at the earliest opportunity. We will also be joined by an Anglia Ruskin University student planner who is researching planning in care home design for people In later life. And we conclude with the Centre for Ageing Better’s work on housing quality and equalities.
