As a long-term champion of the HAPPI design principles, this week the Housing LIN celebrates HAPPI Awareness Week, and in our final session of this webinar series we take an annual look at what’s best in designing housing for an ageing population. From policy to practice, and research to adoption.
Overview
We are delighted to be joined by Lord Best, whose APPG on Housing and Care for Older People has commissioned many of the follow up HAPPI reports written by the Housing LIN since the first one was published back in 2008. He will be introducing the latest APPG Inquiry theme and co-chairing the session.
In addition, RIBA have recently published a new book on age-friendly design, featuring exemplars from the UK and the rest of the world, and we will take a virtual look at the recently completed HAPPI scheme for Westminster Council. There is lots to pack in. What a festive feast.
