Variable room sizes

A few years ago i saw a presentation by a social enterprise in scotland that had developed a flexible living space in a extracare/care home, walls that you could move easily to cater for different needs, need a bigger bedroom to take a hoist? then choose to lose some lounge or hall space, this was very simply done, i thought it was a great idea then but because i wasnt working in housing didnt follow it up ... has anyone got anything similar at all or any contacts
