Respite in Extra Care
Hello
We're looking at scoping whether respite could successfully be delivered in extra care and would be keen to receive any feedback from providers who are already involved in providing respite on this basis together with any background on how the scheme operates.

Hi Louise - you may find this useful (the information is provided on the LIN website). It outlines reablement provision in extra care - but provides similar to respite. Hope this is helpful

in 2013 we fitted out the interiors for a care home outside Llanelli for Gwalia. As you'll see from their website, they operate respite in a similar setting: https://www.gwalia.wales/yourchoice

From the link it looks like a traditional care home setting rather than extra care which is an independent living model that Louise is seeking advice on.
