Looking for Research Participants: Housing Insecurity and End of Life

Melissa Fielding 23/09/25 General Housing Topics

I am a researchers based in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge. I am in the early stages of a new project exploring how people experience serious illness, dying, and end-of-life care while living in insecure or temporary housing.

I am looking to connect with people in a public engagement capacity, to listen, learn, and shape the direction of further research.

I would like to talk to:
•People with lived experience of illness and dying while facing housing insecurity, either for themselves or a loved one.
•Professionals working in housing, health, social care, or support roles who work with people affected by these challenges

Whether you would like to share your own experience, help connect us with others, or simply talk through the issues you see in your work or life, I would really value hearing from you.

As a thank-you, participants with lived experience will receive a £25 voucher.
We are also inviting professionals and practitioners to talk with us to share insights, raise concerns, and explore opportunities to shape and collaborate on the next phases of this work.

If you’d like to take part, or have connections to those with lived experience, I'd love to hear from you.
