Anyone with any experience of setting up a crisis house for mental health needs as an alternative to a hospital admission?

Hello, I'm in the very early stages of planning to start up a crisis house/temporary respite for people with severe mental health needs. It will be an alternative to an inpatient stay and used to try and avoid inpatient admission, and will be staffed 24 hours.

Does anyone have any advise for an absolute beginner of what I need to do legally and how I would go about setting this up?

Thanking you in advance!

Hi Katy,
I only want to add that the nature of the care setting you are considering will definetely require CQC registration.
Thanks

Thank you, that is something that I'm already aware of but I appreciate the advice

Hi Katy
Have you considered the type of property that you require? Would it be along the lines of a "secure" unit?
As exempt accommodation providers, we have supplied several properties to care companies that have had to be modified due to the severity of the illness suffered by the tenants.
Please contact me directly and perhaps we could have a chat about this.
