The white paper 'Valuing People' (2001) set out the Government's vision for people with a learning disability, across a range of services based on four key principles of rights, independence, choice, and inclusion.
'Valuing People Now - A Three Year Strategy for People with Learning Disabilities' is a new vision for improving services for people with learning disabilities across health, housing, employment and community care services.
'Valuing People Now' takes account of the responses to the consultation which sought people's views on the priorities for the learning disability agenda over the next three years.
