Service reviews

We undertake reviews of housing, care and support services for both commissioners and providers.

  • Reviews where the focus is on determining quality and value for money, both where this is required by commissioners to demonstrate what their investment is delivering, and by providers who need to provide evidence of the outcomes achieved by their services.
  • Reviews where providers require external assessment of their compliance with regulatory requirements including clear recommendations for improvement and to secure compliance.
  • Reviews that focus on the assessment of customer experience/s using a mix of qualitative techniques to provide detailed insights to inform service improvement and changes to services.
  • We use a variety of ‘tools’ to undertake costs-benefit analyses as part of service reviews and assessment of social return on investment where required.

The Housing LIN has been commissioned by several local authorities, housing associations, private developers of retirement housing and charities to undertake service reviews of their housing management, care and/or support provision in sheltered or extra care housing for older people, or general needs housing provision, including the adoption of technology enabled care.
