01:15:11	Dave Eldridge, Foundations:	Assistive Tech was discussed at a recent London HIA Network meeting. Some of the points which emerged were the need to focus on the person, rather than being tech led; adaptations which relate to fixtures and fittings (e.g. opening doors, window blinds etc); the need for an integrated practise bringing in housing and care practitioners at both operational and strategic levels.

Completely agree with Dave's observations about person-led approaches to identifying solutions and adaptations. There's real scope to increase our use of technological solutions and we're hoping to explore the role of occupational therapists in this area at RCOT.
