Dignity in Housing

This Housing LIN Report covers policy and good practice to maintain dignity in housing and housing related support.

Although the emphasis of the report is on older people, the principles can be applied to all age groups and needs. This report explores the meaning of dignity within care services and housing and summarises relevant legislation & policy. It describes how the principles of dignity can be implemented, including may case studies and illustrations of good practice. A comprehensive checklist is provided to enable commissioners and providers to assess different aspects of services and how well they enable dignity to be maintained.
