National Planning Framework
As reported by Public Health England (PHE), details about the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)and National Planning Practice Guidance (NPPG) (opens new window) have come under one roof and information on the impact built environments have on the health of communities. The NPPF makes specific reference to planning housing for older people in several places and promoting health communities and the accompanying NPPG guidance includes section on the importance of good design, preparing local plans, health and wellbeing etc.
