Peabody - Older People's Strategy 2015-2020

This report by London based housing association, Peabody, highlights the impact of an ageing resident profile in their general needs and specialist housing stock. It demonstrates how they need to plan and prepare to ensure that the homes and services their residents require are in place as the effects of an ageing society become increasingly evident. In particular, it sets out how they plan to:

• Help older residents to live independently for as long as possible in their own homes;
• Promote older people's involvement in the community and increase their engagement with family and friends;
• Promote well-being and healthy living for older people; and
• Increase the availability and improve the quality and diversity of specialist housing for older people
